Lincoln Castle Rally - Sunday 21 July 2019

LVVS Castle Rally LVVS Castle Rally LVVS Castle Rally

Despite having to postpone the event at short notice from the planned date in June after heavy rain left the grounds waterlogged, we enjoyed fantastic visitor numbers on the re-arranged date, with 14,000 visitors through the gates of Lincoln Castle on the day.

This year's event had a new major sponsor in the form of Marshall Jaguar Land Rover in addition to many of our long term sponsors. Our thanks to them all as well of course to the management and staff of Lincoln Castle. And to all the vehicle owners who make the event what it is, and to the visitors.

We were particularly pleased to welcome the Ruston car, which came along from Siemens Lincoln under its own power for the first time in many years.

Sadly, the Society's Austin 12/4 has had a major engine failure, and all of this year's proceeds will go towards its repair and maintenance. We are particularly grateful to those entrants who could not get to the revised date but donated their entry fee to this project.
