October Half Term Week - The
Museum will be open 11.00 am to 4.00 pm Monday to Friday during Lincolnshire
schools' autumn Half Term week (23 to 37 October 2017)
Arrangements for the Christmas 2017 period will be posted nearer the time.
The Museum is not generally open on Saturdays, except some special events during the year.
BANK HOLIDAYS - The Museum is open from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm on Bank Holiday Mondays from Easter Monday to August.
Group and School Visits
Group and school visits are welcome by arrangement throughout the year, and can be arranged outside public opening hours. Please contact us to discuss your requirements. We are pleased to offer a complimentary advance visit for teachers to plan teaching materials and carry out a risk assessment.
Speakers available for local groups
The Society has members available to give talks to local groups about the work of the Society and our restorations - please get in touch if you would like to know more.
Bus - Stagecoach Lincolnshire service 44 runs every 20 minutes weekday daytimes (hourly weekday evenings and Sunday daytimes) from Lincoln Bus Station, and the nearest bus stop is near the 'Swanholme Tavern' bus stop on Doddington Road which is less than 5 minutes' walk to / from the Museum.

Train - Hykeham Railway station, a few minutes walk away from the Museum, is served by East Midlands Trains services between Lincoln and Newark / Nottingham. For times, see National Rail Enquiries (or by phone on 08457 48 49 50.)
Alternatively, you can plan a journey to the Museum by bus / train from anywhere within the East Midlands Region, or plan a walking / cycling route with Traveline.
By Car- The museum has its own car park, although at special events, special parking arrangements may apply, so please see the web page about that event. There is a cycle stand close to the entrance door.
Accessibility - The car park has marked spaces for disabled drivers, and the Museum, including both toilets, is accessible to wheelchair users.
